LAKKA NEWS

I don't know anything about what is going to be housed there but I'm told that the building that's being finished in Lakka - on the Car Park - will become a Museum.

The Olive has always played an important part in life in Paxos and rumour has it that this museum will become a Cultural Museum featuring information on and about the Olive. Which all fits in well with the Village of Culture 2004, does it not!

Work has progressed very quickly so far, but whether it'll be complete in time for next season will depend on the weather. If it rains or even if it might rain people tend to fight shy of doing anything except hiding indoors! We Brits are quite used to rain and it doesn't affect us - hardy lot! So it'll be very interesting to monitor the progress and then find out what it'll house.
